Starloch is a platform for planning and sharing remote astrophotography sessions. Members build imaging plans, watch live weather and roof-status telemetry streamed from the observatory, and share their results in a built-in community. The physical telescope lives at a remote dark-sky site and connects back to the platform securely over a private network.
Highlights
- PHP application front end with Node.js microservices for authentication and community
- MySQL data layer with live telemetry from the physical observatory
- Real-time weather / roof-status integration over a private VPN to the remote site
- Member community: accounts, image sharing, and imaging dashboards
